Hello hello! I’ve been working with the fabulous Justice Topaz lately to create a brand new concept in Second Life blogging. From Fashion to Furniture will be a miniseries starring some awesome and well-known fashion bloggers who will create a distinct look (or looks) while I then translate those looks into the interior world. I know. It’s aesthetics overload. Justice’s fashion credits can be seen here while mine are just below!
So this first look was definitely inspired by 80’s heavy rock, glam, drugs, sex — the whole shabang. How does one even translate that into furniture? Easy. An amplifier side table and awesome music headphones from Stuff Store (they even change textures, but we must stray away from those Bob Marley colors in this look, my friends) are translated from the music t-shirt. The spiky headband and gold accessories are translated into the gold, spiky deer head with some jewelry hanging from it, and the high shoulders from the top are rendered into a wing back chair.

Next up is a look that that is totally 1930’s Art Deco with a modern twist in the color choice. The brown color from the fur can be seen in the Art Deco circle shelf while the fur itself can be seen on the floor. The green and blue mix is thrown throughout the room while the romantic jewelery is translated as accessories on the shelf and on the table.

The final look done by Justice is this cutesy, vintage inspired outfit. The colors of gold, muted teal, raspberry, and purple are shown throughout the room. The gold hoops are turned into a gold side table next to the reading chair (an amazing new piece from .:: ONE GRID ::. which will be coming this week!), and the print from the skirt is thrown onto a rug. A flirty updo is translated into intimate accessories such as wine glasses, candles, and some love letters.
